I felt like I was back home in Texas at my grandmother’s. The breakfast was great with large portions!

I recently visited Dalton's Café in Cypress, California, for dinner with my dad, and I was truly charmed by the experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. I ordered the pot roast, which was delicious and came with a fresh side salad and bread. The ranch dressing on the salad was exceptional. My dad chose the sloppy Joe, accompanied by a salad with blue cheese dressing, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our waitress was fantastic--funny and attentive, adding a personal touch to our evening. Although I wish I could remember her name, her service made our visit memorable. The café boasts an impressive selection of cakes and pies, which I regrettably couldn't try this time. However, as a lovely gesture for our first visit, we received a free cookie to take home. As a local, I'm eager to return, especially after browsing their all-day breakfast menu. The breakfast options look fantastic, and I'm particularly excited to try them. The sandwiches also caught my eye, making future visits a must. Overall, Dalton's Café is a gem in Cypress, and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Its very good and the proportions are great , they dont cheap out. Service was excellent and everything was clean. Though it does look old. Not a bad thing by any means though. Very cozy and comfortable. Prices are fair and they have a pretty big menu. Pancakes are VERY good

TOP TIER!! This place was great from the moment we walked in. It was a very cute atmosphere. Definitely would recommend this if you’re in the area. Food quality was great, we ate every bite of food even all the toast. The coffee was delicious. Overall 10/10 :) THE NEXT DAY: We went again.. couldn’t say no; spectacular the service was great, the staff were super friendly!

Out of the tens of times I have visited this lovely cozy place I can't recall a bad experience with either staff or the food. The staff was friendly and very welcoming the food was simply amazing. Do yourself a favor and get the sugar-free apple pie. I can honestly say that the best compliment I could give this place would be that it tastes just like home cooking. That's what keeps me coming back. They have a vast menu, but I always look at the specials on the chalkboard by the register.

Classic diner food, served in an older style of restaurant. Came here in search of biscuits and sausage gravy. I got the spinach, mushroom and cheese omelet, served with home fries and a side of TWO biscuits and gravy. I thought the omelet was well done, not over cooked, and seasoned just enough. My companion got a chicken fried steak with two eggs over easy, hash browns and also TWO more biscuits and gravy. The steak was a tad dry though. Our toddler got the macaroni & Cheese dish - it was soooo cheesy! We came in so late for lunch that we ended up being the only ones left by the time we ended our meal. Friendly Waitress Cheri check in on us a few times. We let her know it was our first time coming in. You get a free GIANT cookie with that visit. (we got one chocolate chip with nuts and one oatmeal raisin). They are bigger than a toddler's face - no lie. Right next door is a long term stay motel - i would imagine the patrons from the hotel would be using the cafe a lot!
